Hi, I am Alexandra, mom of 2 incredible children and married to my best friend and partner in the faith.
For years, I tried to find happiness and a sense of purpose in all the wrong places.
I consumed endless self-help books, I would study more, analyze my past, find temporary relief in world distractions, try avoidance for temporary relief, attempt to change others in the hope of improving my relationships, only to find myself exhausted, living in my past, not enjoying the present and with no hope for a future. I had so many dreams but no direction to where my next step would be.
I finally realized that if I wanted to find lasting peace, I had to build my life on a solid unshakable foundation. I found Christ and the amazing peace that comes from being fully known and loved unconditionally.
With the help of mentors, I understood God’s will for my life and developed an unwavering relationship with Him. And I am thrilled to share it with you and give back as I was poured into.
Are you ready to finally find peace for your soul? Partner with the Everlasting God and discover your life's purpose, His amazing will for you, and how to walk in His steps. Experience fulfilling relationships and a sense of purpose that surpasses anything you can dream or imagine.
Open your Bible, put in those earbuds, and listen up! God is speaking to you. He is making everything new. Do you perceive it? Let's get started.

Hi, and welcome back to Curious for Christ. If you are new to the show, welcome. This is Alexandra, your host. Have you ever wondered. Will this ever end? And by that I mean problems to solve, situations to improve imperfect relationships. Will I ever feel peace that actually lasts because I've been there. Actually, I'm there right now. There are areas I know I need to grow in, but sometimes it feels like no matter how hard I try. There is something more that keeps coming. After all, I will never be perfect until the day I see Jesus, right? Will I ever have peace? Will my life ever truly improve? If I can never be perfect? I realize actually that when it gets too hard, it may be that I'm holding on to something that is not for me to hold, and I need to painfully get to the end of myself to meet God and surrender that part so I can actually hold it. This past year and honestly just these last few weeks have felt like a whirlwind. It's nearing the end of summer. My daughter went to teen camp at church and afterwards a family we've known forever reached out to us and they shared some observations about her behavior. And my first reaction, to be honest, I wanted to be defensive. I also felt like I had failed. I did not feel God's grace, but more an understanding that I needed to work on that with my daughter. One more thing that I need to improve in, and it left me quite heavy and honestly discouraged. And it wasn't just that parenting is hard with layers of emotionals, virtual logistical challenges that never seem to slow down. So little help so much to do. I had to stop and sit with God because if I didn't pause, I knew I'd carry that unrest trait into my work, my family, my life. And I had to ask, where is God in this? Why do I feel so unsettled or heavy or discouraged? Like me, you might be asking, where is peace? When life won't let up? You pray, you try, you keep going, but deep inside you wonder if peace is only for people who have it more together than you. Let's talk about this. In this episode, we are unpacking three biblical truths about peace, and I believe they'll meet you exactly where you are. Let's go. Welcome to Curious for Christ. Do you ever find yourself lying, awake at night wondering about God's plan for your life? Maybe you wake up with big dreams, but feel unsure where to start or what your next step should be. If you're curious about exploring your faith and finding purpose, then you've come to the right place. Hi, I'm Alexandra. I too felt lost and sure of the direction my life was taking. I yearned to understand my purpose and have someone guide me, but I kept telling myself I was too busy. The timing wasn't right, and my lack of clarity prevented me from being consistent until I found Christ. He brought peace into my life and revealed the way to find purpose by anchoring myself. In him. In this podcast, we'll journey together exploring the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of him and cultivate your own personal relationship with Christ. So open up your Bible, put in those earbuds and listen up because God is speaking to you. He's making everything new and you don't wanna miss it. Let's get started. Truth number one, peace as a person, not a place you reach. John 14, verse 27 says, peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Jesus is the embodiment of peace. The Bible calls him the Prince of peace. He's described as our peace, our hope as well. True lasting peace is found in the person of Jesus Christ. So let's break this down. The world offers peace based on circumstances like a calm day, financial security, approval from others, control or comfort. But those things can change in a moment. Jesus, however, gives a peace that remains even when storms come. Relationships train. Money runs low. Life feels uncertain. Worldly peace often comes with strings attached as well. It's kind of transactional. You'll have peace if you earn it, fix it, achieve it, or escape it. But Jesus says, you already have peace because I'm giving you myself. His peace is not earned. It's received through relationship. So peace is not something we achieve by fixing our circumstances. It is found in relationship with Jesus, not as a fleeting emotion, dependent on circumstances or human effort. That means you don't have to hustle for peace. You don't have to wait until everything settles down or feels better. You can receive it right here in the middle of your real life mess, noise, and all Truth number two, you don't have to be perfect to be at peace with God or within. Let me explain Romans five, verse one says, therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. So let's be clear. Peace doesn't begin when the chaos stops. We've got that part, but it begins when you know you are right with God. Romans five verse one Speaks of peace with God, not just the inner calm we often crave. That's the peace of God, but something even more foundational and eternal because of Jesus. The hostility between you and God is over. You've been justified by faith. That means your sins are forgiven, not because you earned it, but because Jesus paid for it. You are no longer separated from God, but brought near through Christ and from this restored relationship. God teaches us to walk in obedience and trust through life's challenges. Not to punish us, but to strengthen us. Your heart. Seasons aren't proof of God's absence. They're often. Where faith is forged, but you have peace with God. Now you are no longer at odds with him. He is on your side and he's working for your good. As Romans eight, verse 28 says, so let's this sink in and it's a sobering reality that we need to acknowledge we have peace with God because of Jesus. Peace with God is the starting point. It marks actually the end of separation and the beginning of a relationship rooted in grace, and from that relationship flows, the peace of God, the deep, unshakeable calm that guards your heart and mind in Christ. Philippians four, seven, truth number three, peace grows in the middle of real life. Peace grows in the middle of real life, not by escaping it. Isaiah 26, verse three says, you will keep in perfect peace. Those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you. Peace isn't something we find by running away from the hard things. Instead, it is formed within us as we stay connected to God in the midst of life's challenges. Put simply our part is to remain steadfast, which means firm unwavering, refusing to give in to doubt and choosing to trust God no matter what, even if it doesn't feel okay, or if you don't understand it. You can say you can choose to trust God. And Isaiah continues in verse four, trust in the Lord forever for the Lord. The Lord himself is the rock. Eternal. Do you believe that? He is the rock. Eternal. He can be trusted. And again, in verse eight, yes Lord, walking in the way of your truth. We wait for you. So, let's be honest, there are seasons, so let's be honest, there are seasons when life feels like one thing after another, the unpaid bills, the difficult medical news, the challenges of school and teenage years, the mental and emotional exhaustion, the fears about aging or not being enough. The ongoing health struggles for me right now. It's the struggles in marriage and parenting with all these layers that I mentioned earlier, but Isaiah doesn't say you'll find peace once the storm passes. It says, God keeps us in perfect peace as our minds stay focused on him. Peace isn't anchored in perfect behavior or circumstances. It's rooted in ongoing active trust. So that's it, my friend. Before we close, let me recap today's three truths. Truth number one, peace is not just a feeling, it's a person. True peace is found in a real living relationship with Jesus. Truth number two, I have peace with God. Through Jesus, my sin once separated me from him, and that separation meant I was at war. With God, that reality is deeply unsettling to my soul. But Jesus did what I never could. He restored the relationship. And now because I'm no longer against God, but with him, I have peace with God. That's the starting point for experiencing the peace of God in my everyday life. And I don't know about you, but I need to go back to that truth if I want to get well. Truth number three. Peace doesn't come through escape. It grows in the middle of real life. And as I choose to trust God in the tension, in the unknown in the heart, I find his peace meeting me right there. Let us pray. God, I am tired. I feel like no matter how hard I try, there's always something stealing my peace. God help me and for every person listening today, I pray they can surrender the pressure to be perfect and lay down the belief that peace is only for people who have it all together. Thank you Jesus for making peace with you possible and for offering the peace of God to guard our hearts. Help us stay close to you. Let your peace rule in us even when nothing around us makes sense. In Jesus' name, amen. Thank you so much for listening. If today's episode encouraged you, would you leave a review or share it with someone who needs it? Maybe a friend or a sister or someone walking through their own chaos. And take one verse from today, maybe John 14, verse 27, or Isaiah 26 verse three, and write it down where you'll see it this week. Let it be your anchor when the waves rise, friend Peace isn't waiting for you at the end of the storm. It is available right now because Jesus is with you in the middle of it. So stay curious, stay close to Christ, and stay open to the peace he offers. Not after the chaos, but in the very heart of it. See you next time. Hi, I hope you enjoy today's episode.
