Hi, I am Alexandra, mom of 2 incredible children and married to my best friend and partner in the faith.
For years, I tried to find happiness and a sense of purpose in all the wrong places.
I consumed endless self-help books, I would study more, analyze my past, find temporary relief in world distractions, try avoidance for temporary relief, attempt to change others in the hope of improving my relationships, only to find myself exhausted, living in my past, not enjoying the present and with no hope for a future. I had so many dreams but no direction to where my next step would be.
I finally realized that if I wanted to find lasting peace, I had to build my life on a solid unshakable foundation. I found Christ and the amazing peace that comes from being fully known and loved unconditionally.
With the help of mentors, I understood God’s will for my life and developed an unwavering relationship with Him. And I am thrilled to share it with you and give back as I was poured into.
Are you ready to finally find peace for your soul? Partner with the Everlasting God and discover your life's purpose, His amazing will for you, and how to walk in His steps. Experience fulfilling relationships and a sense of purpose that surpasses anything you can dream or imagine.

90. How to trust God's Timing with Confidence: 3 Practical Steps
Welcome back to Curious for Christ! Trusting God’s timing is one of the biggest challenges in our faith journey. Why does waiting feel so hard? And how do we shift from frustration to peace? Today, I’m sharing three key steps to help you trust God’s process with confidence.
3 Steps to Trusting God’s Timing
- Release Control – Trust begins when we surrender our expectations and let go of the need to understand everything. God’s plan is higher than ours (Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 55:8-9).
- Embrace the Waiting – The waiting season is not wasted; it’s preparation. Instead of asking when, focus on who God is shaping you to become (Jeremiah 17:6-8, Lamentations 3:22-23).
- Walk in Faith, Not Fear – Trusting God’s timing doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means stepping forward in faith, even without all the answers (Psalm 37:5, Matthew 17:20, Joshua 1:9).
Scriptures Shared in This Episode
- Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
- Isaiah 55:8-9 – God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours.
- Galatians 5:1 – Christ has set us free—trusting Him leads to true freedom.
- Jeremiah 17:6-8 – Those who trust in the Lord flourish, even in difficult seasons.
- Lamentations 3:22-23 – God’s mercies are new every morning.
- Psalm 37:5 – Commit your way to the Lord, trust Him, and He will act.
- Matthew 17:20 – Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.
- Hebrews 11:6 – Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
- Joshua 1:9 – Be strong and courageous; the Lord is with you wherever you go.

Welcome back to Curious for Christ. Today we're talking about something we all wrestle with, trusting God's timing. Why is it so hard? And how do we move from frustration to peace? I've uncovered three key steps to help you understand the process. Trusting God's timing isn't just about waiting for the right things to happen. It's about learning to experience peace through the process, not just when we finally get what we want or when we give up on our dreams altogether. Too often we swing between striving for achievement or feeling like we're failing if things don't happen on our timeline, but that's not how God works. When we truly understand his timing and the process that he puts us through, we can walk with him daily with clarity, with trust, with confidence, and open up our spiritual eyes to see what he's doing in our lives right now. So let's dive in. Welcome to Curious For Christ. Do you ever find yourself lying, awake at night, wondering about God's plan for your life? Maybe you wake up with big dreams, but feel unsure where to start or what your next step should be. If you're curious about exploring your faith and finding purpose, then you've come to the right place. Hi, I'm Alexandra. I too felt lost, unsure of the direction my life was leaking. I yearned or understand my purpose and have someone guide me. But I kept telling myself I was too busy. The timing wasn't right, and my lack of clarity prevented me from being consistent until I found Christ. He brought peace into my life and revealed the way to find purpose by anchoring myself. In him. In this podcast, we'll journey together exploring the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of him and cultivate your own personal relationship with Christ. So open up your Bible, put in those earbuds and listen up because God is speaking to you. He's making everything new and you don't wanna miss it. Let's get started. Step number one, release control. We often struggle with trust because we want answers now. But Proverbs three verses five through six reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not lean on our own. Understanding true trust starts with surrender. Trusting God's timing isn't just about waiting. It is about surrender. True trust starts when we release control and acknowledge that God sees what we cannot. His timing is always perfect, but let's be real. Letting go isn't easy, especially when our expectations don't match what's happening in our lives. But why do we struggle with expectations in the first place? From an early age, we all develop a certain understanding of what life should look like. Our parents had expectations for us. Society told us what success and happiness should mean. We internalized beliefs about our worth, our dreams, and how things should unfold. These expectations shape our decisions. Our emotions and even our faith, but part of trusting God's timing is sitting in the present and allowing him to bring to the surface things we may not even be aware of. He gently reveals how many of our expectations were not from him at all. But we're shaped by our past, our culture, and the world around us. This is why releasing control is such a vital part of trusting God. It's not passive. It's rather an active process of surrendering what we thought we needed so we can receive. What God is actually doing. His ways are not our ways. As Isaiah 55 verses eight through nine says, they are not the world's ways, not our parents' ways, and not the ways we've conditioned ourselves to believe are necessary for our happiness. And yet this process can feel like we are losing something, like we're dying to parts of ourselves. And in a way we are, but we're not losing who we truly are. So relax, we are shedding instead, everything that was placed upon us that does not belong. The thoughts, the fears, the self-imposed limitations, all of it must be unraveled. So we can walk in true freedom. Galatians five verse one says, it is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. God's process is always a freeing process. He loves us, he cares for us, and he is unburdening you. From what was never meant for you so that he can replace it with his truth. The dreams God places in our hearts are meant to be lived with him. If we could accomplish them in our own strength, we would need him, and that's why trust is essential. And they're so great, they encourage us to go through that not so pleasant dying process of removing what does not belong so that we can receive God fully. I do believe that God gives us amazing dreams, because he wants us to have hope because the process can feel sometimes discouraging. Even Paul said that he despaired of life itself, but these dreams are a reminder that you can go through it. It is worth it. and this is the bigger picture. On the way to fulfilling your dreams, god is not just asking us to release control just for the sake of it. He is actually restoring us. Through the process of us taking action to fulfilling our dreams, God is also changing us from the inside out. And when we surrender, he's bringing us back to our original design, our Genesis one design, Adam and Eve, walking freely with God in the Garden of Eden without burdens, without striving, fully trusting him. Exploring life, enjoying life. That's the life we were created for a life of peace, fulfillment, and intimacy with God. And God knows exactly how to get us there. But from the very beginning, humanity doubted Adam and Eve didn't trust God's goodness, and they acted on their own understanding. And that one decision led to all the burdens we now carry. Generation after generation, after generation, and it is your opportunity when you choose to trust, to end that pattern. Every time we try to control our circumstances, instead of surrendering to God, we repeat that same pattern. We know where that led. Read your Bible and you'll see it never leads to something good. But every time we release control, we allow God to restore us to the freedom we were always meant to walk in. So God's process is always freeing and you may feel frustrated with where you are right now or disappointed, and that is okay. You may feel like you should be further along, that's okay too. But you have to start somewhere. And here's the beautiful truth. The sooner we release control, the faster we can step into this incredible, fulfilling life that God is leading us to. So today I encourage you, what if instead of resisting the process, you leaned into it, what if instead of fearing the unknown, you embraced it as God, clearing the way for something greater. Because he is. Step two, embrace the waiting. Waiting isn't wasted when we use it to grow. Instead of focusing on when God will answer, shift your focus to who you are becoming in the process. Every day God is shaping you, refining your faith. And preparing you for what's ahead. But if we're too fixated on our own expectations and the big picture, the big dreams that we have, that we must fulfill today, we can miss what he's doing right now in front of us and the blessings. Jeremiah 17, verse six warns us. And says he will be like a bush in the wastelands. He will not see prosperity when it comes. This is what happens when we rely on our own strength. Instead of trusting God, we become spiritually blind to his blessings, the daily wins, the daily blessings that he's bringing along the way, even when they're right in front of us. We get so caught up in the waiting for the big breakthrough that we miss the smaller ways he is always providing. But contrast that with Jeremiah 17 verses seven through eight. What's just next after this Passage which describes. Those who trust in the Lord as a tree planted by water flourishing even in difficult seasons. This is what happens when we embrace the waiting instead of resisting it. So ask yourself, what is God teaching me in this season? What is he showing me? Is he growing my patience? Is he deepening my trust? The waiting isn't a delay, it's part of the preparation God gives enough for today, his mercies on you every morning. Lamentations three verses 22 through 23. Walk with him daily, lean into his presence and don't rush ahead. And if you ever find yourself picking up the weight of control again, return to step one and surrender. And then pray god, I trust you. Even if things don't go the way I expect, I believe you are leading me to what's best. That surrender brings peace, and in the waiting, God is restoring you not just to receive a blessing, but to become the person who can fully walk in it. He's shaping you back to your original design free and whole in him. Step three. Walk in faith, not fear. Trusting God's timing doesn't mean doing nothing. Like we said, it means taking faithful steps forward even without knowing the full picture. Psalm 37 verse five reminds us, commit your way to the Lord. Trust in him and he will act. Faith opens the door for God to move in ways we never expected. When we let go of fear and choose faith, we align ourselves with God's power rather than our only limitations. Hebrews 11, verse six says, and without faith, it is impossible to please God. Because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Faith strengthens us. It gives us peace and allows God to work beyond what we can see. Fear keeps us stuck, but faith moves mountains like Matthew 17, verse 20 says, when we trust him, we experience his provision, his guidance, and even miracles. And here's the truth, you're not walking through life in worry or struggle for nothing. None of it is in vain. God sees you and he promises a reward for those who trust him. So choose faith. Be courageous, be brave. It is worth it. Joshua one verse nine reminds us, have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged for the Lord. Your God will be with you wherever you go. God loves you and you are safe in his arms. You are all good because He's got you. So in conclusion, if you're struggling with God's timing, you are not alone. We are all in this. It's part of our human condition, and each step in the process takes time. So it's okay if you find yourself going back to a previous step. There's no set timeline. Everyone is walking their own journey and God is guiding you through yours. If you need to revisit step one over and over, that's not failure. It's part of how God works. He reveals things layer by layer, and that's okay time is a gift from God and because he is all knowing, he understands exactly how much time you need. He will give you that time. His timing is always perfect. Also, because he loves you. He's not tricking you and then telling you, well, you're too late now. That would be a lie, and that's not the truth. Have you ever had to let go of something only to later realize that God was working behind the scenes in ways you couldn't see? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Please leave a review.
