Hi, I am Alexandra, mom of 2 incredible children and married to my best friend and partner in the faith.
For years, I tried to find happiness and a sense of purpose in all the wrong places.
I consumed endless self-help books, I would study more, analyze my past, find temporary relief in world distractions, try avoidance for temporary relief, attempt to change others in the hope of improving my relationships, only to find myself exhausted, living in my past, not enjoying the present and with no hope for a future. I had so many dreams but no direction to where my next step would be.
I finally realized that if I wanted to find lasting peace, I had to build my life on a solid unshakable foundation. I found Christ and the amazing peace that comes from being fully known and loved unconditionally.
With the help of mentors, I understood God’s will for my life and developed an unwavering relationship with Him. And I am thrilled to share it with you and give back as I was poured into.
Are you ready to finally find peace for your soul? Partner with the Everlasting God and discover your life's purpose, His amazing will for you, and how to walk in His steps. Experience fulfilling relationships and a sense of purpose that surpasses anything you can dream or imagine.
Open your Bible, put in those earbuds, and listen up! God is speaking to you. He is making everything new. Do you perceive it? Let's get started.

86. Healing is Spiritual: How to Release Stored Emotions and Find Renewal with God
In today’s episode, I share a personal story of my relationship with my body and how I didn’t know how to process my emotions. If you feel like you can’t move on or keep falling back into the same patterns despite praying and processing, chances are your body has stored emotions that need your attention. The truth is: your body remembers what your mind tries to forget.
What We’ll Talk About:
• We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
• God has the power to renew our bodies. He holds the key to unlocking what’s been stored. It’s not just about the science of healing—it’s about God being the ultimate healer who knows exactly what’s buried within us.
Scripture: Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
• The original design of our bodies and the role of God in our healing process.
• Healing is necessary, and we need a holistic approach to renewal.
• Why God cares about your body—our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and God cares for every part of us.
Practical Ways to Release Stored Stress & Find Renewal:
1. Tune Into Your Body – Recognize where you carry stress. Ask yourself, “What is my body trying to tell me?”
Scripture: Psalm 139:14 – “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
2. Move & Breathe with Intention – Engage in activities that release tension—stretching, walking, deep breathing.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – “You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
3. Process Emotionally & Spiritually – Journaling, prayer, and speaking your emotions out loud can help release what’s been stored.
To dive deeper into effective prayer, make sure to listen to Ep. 73
Scripture: Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is alive and active.”
4. Recognize God’s Renewal – Healing isn’t just about removing pain; it’s about recognizing God’s power to restore and renew you.
Scripture: Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Word of Encouragement:
Healing is possible, and God desires to restore you—body, mind, and spirit. If you’ve been carrying the weight of unprocessed emotions, know that renewal is within reach. Trust that God can guide you through the process of healing and transformation.

Welcome back to the Curious for Christ show. Have you ever felt like no matter how much you pray, process, or try to move on, something still lingers, stress, pain, or emotions you can't quite shake? What if I told you? that your body remembers what your mind tries to forget. Today we're diving into the connection between faith, emotions, and our bodies. How unprocessed emotions get stored physically, how stress manifests in ways we don't expect, and most importantly, how God designed us for healing and renewal, not just survival. Welcome to Curious for Christ. Do you ever find yourself lying awake at night, wondering about God's plan for your life? Maybe you wake up with big dreams, but feel unsure where to start or what your next step should be. If you're curious about exploring your faith and finding purpose, then you've come to the right place. Hi, I'm Alexandra. I too felt lost, unsure of the direction my life was taking. I yearned to understand my purpose and have someone guide me. But I kept telling myself I was too busy, the timing wasn't right, and my lack of clarity prevented me from being consistent, until I found Christ. He brought peace into my life and revealed the way to find purpose, by anchoring myself In this podcast, we'll journey together exploring the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of Him and cultivate your own personal relationship with Christ. So open up your Bible, put in those earbuds and listen up because God is speaking to you. He is making everything new and you don't want to miss it. Let's get started. When I was 12, I went through all the changes that come with growing up, the emotional shifts, the hormonal transitions, and the realization that my body was changing. But instead of feeling prepared and supported, I was scared. My mother had passed away when I was five, I've shared that earlier in my podcast. And in my young mind, Becoming a woman felt unsafe. I had no one to guide me through these changes and my father, raising three daughters on his own, was Quite uncomfortable with emotions, hormones, and anything he didn't understand. So, I learned to suppress. I didn't acknowledge my emotions, I didn't listen to my body. I just kept going. But what I didn't realize at the time was that the body doesn't forget what the heart tries to bury. Over time, I became ultra sensitive, absorbing emotions deeply, feeling everything intensely, but not knowing how to release any of it. Your story may be different from mine, but perhaps you had a distant father, experienced a betrayal that broke your trust, or had an emotionally absent mother. Maybe the way emotions were handled in your home shaped you, or you carried the weight of expectations that were never truly your own. Any experience that is not rooted in Christ is in need of healing and renewal, because this is the reality of the world we live in. And I'll explore that as well in the podcast. I now intuitively understand that our bodies are not separate from our minds or spirits. Science. Confirms it. And so does scripture. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, as it says in Psalm 139 verse 14. And God didn't just design us to think and believe. He designed us to feel, to heal, and to be renewed in every way. So what is the science behind stored emotions? I want to make something clear. I'm not a doctor. I don't have all the scientific knowledge or the solutions to walk you through a full healing session. But what I do know is that understanding the science and the spiritual components of healing is so crucial to our journey. The most important thing, though, is the spiritual understanding. And that's what I want to focus on here. Because once we know that God has the power, To renew our bodies, we realize that He holds the key to unlock what's been stored. It's not about the science of healing alone. It's about God being the ultimate healer who knows exactly what's been buried in our bodies. As Hebrews 4 verse 12 says, For the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. God is the one who knows what's been stored in our hearts, minds, and bodies, and he is the one who can guide us through the process of healing and renewal. And so that's why it's important to know the Bible as well, because that's the power of the Word of God. What is the role of God in our healing, you may ask. I believe that the first step in any kind of healing, whether emotional, physical, or spiritual, is turning to God. Healing begins with Him. We live in a fallen world, and though God's creation was perfect, Genesis 1, Sin and death entered through Adam and Eve in Genesis 3, and since then, our bodies have been affected by the consequences of that fall as well. God originally created us to live forever, to function perfectly. in our bodies. But after the fall, death entered the world, and so did decay and brokenness, not just in our souls, but also in our physical bodies. What this tells us is that while we are in these bodies, we will experience pain, wear and tear, and even sickness. Our bodies weren't made to die, however. They were made to live eternally. They are constantly renewing themselves and even though we're living in a world that's fallen, God in his mercy still desires to heal and restore us physically and emotionally. And that's why going to God first is so important. He is the one who knows how our bodies were meant to function. His word is the key to unlocking the restoration of our bodies, minds, and spirits. I hope that you're starting to see the connection. It's a more holistic approach to deepening your relationship with God. And stick with me for a moment as I share some important background on how God sees our bodies. After that I'll get into some practical insights that you can apply to your own life. So you may wonder why does God care about our bodies if they're temporary? I've had that question too and the truth is even Though our bodies will be transformed in heaven, we will have a new body, they still matter to God. He created us in His image, body, soul, and spirit, Genesis 1 verse 26. Our bodies are not separate from our faith or spiritual lives. God calls us to honor and care for them while we are here on earth. What we do with our bodies impacts our souls and spirits. We can disobey God or dishonor Him through our actions. And also, our bodies aren't even our own. They belong to Him, as 1 Corinthians 6 verses 19 through 20 says. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. You were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies. This connection works both ways. Just as our physical bodies can affect our souls, our emotions and spiritual lives impact our bodies as well. When we neglect or misuse our bodies, it can harm our inner selves, but when we honor and care for our bodies, it helps align us spiritually, emotionally, and physically with God's purpose for our lives. Now let's move on to some practical ways to release stored stress and find renewal. And again, I'm not a doctor, this is more unintuitive, this is what's worked for me for so many years. So number one, tune into your body instead of ignoring it. Because the more we ignore it, the louder the body will be. the symptoms, whatever it is, the stress stored, the aches, the illness. Notice where you carry stress. Ask yourself with love and kindness, not impatience, because it is part of you. Your body is part of you. Ask yourself, what is my body trying to tell me? It is not slowing you down, it is informing you, it has information for you. So instead of pushing through exhaustion or pain, see it as an invitation to pause. We need those to be renewed. Number two, move and breathe with intention. Exercise isn't just for fitness, it's for emotional release. So try deep breathing, stretching, walking, dancing. Movement helps release stored tension. Number three, process emotionally and spiritually. Through journaling, prayer, and even speaking your emotions out loud can release what's been stored. If you want to dive deeper into prayer, be sure to listen to episode 73. Ask God, what am I holding on to that I need to give to you? God will guide you. Number four, recognize God. God at work in your body. Healing isn't just about removing pain and moving on, it's about recognizing renewal. The more we see God restoring us, the more confidence we gain in the process. So, to close, I wanted to remind you, you were made for renewal, your body, mind and spirit are deeply connected and God cares about all of them. If you've been carrying stress, pain or emotions for years, know that healing is possible. You don't have to just survive, you can heal. You are actually meant to thrive, no matter your age or the season you're in. I'd love to hear from you, especially since this is something I've never shared before, and it's not a topic you often hear on a Christian podcast. But does this resonate with you? I've spoken with many women who feel deeply in their bodies, yet there's often no platform where they can share this. And I want to open up that conversation.
