Hi, I am Alexandra, mom of 2 incredible children and married to my best friend and partner in the faith.
For years, I tried to find happiness and a sense of purpose in all the wrong places.
I consumed endless self-help books, I would study more, analyze my past, find temporary relief in world distractions, try avoidance for temporary relief, attempt to change others in the hope of improving my relationships, only to find myself exhausted, living in my past, not enjoying the present and with no hope for a future. I had so many dreams but no direction to where my next step would be.
I finally realized that if I wanted to find lasting peace, I had to build my life on a solid unshakable foundation. I found Christ and the amazing peace that comes from being fully known and loved unconditionally.
With the help of mentors, I understood God’s will for my life and developed an unwavering relationship with Him. And I am thrilled to share it with you and give back as I was poured into.
Are you ready to finally find peace for your soul? Partner with the Everlasting God and discover your life's purpose, His amazing will for you, and how to walk in His steps. Experience fulfilling relationships and a sense of purpose that surpasses anything you can dream or imagine.

Welcome back to Curious for Christ. Today, we're tackling an important and often paralyzing question. How do I know God's will? Have you ever been afraid of making the wrong decision? I've been there. You know, you don't want to mess up, disappoint God, or suffer the consequences of a bad choice. And this fear can leave us stuck in indecision and anxiety. But here's the truth. God does not want us to be paralyzed by fear. Imagine if your child or spouse or best friend was terrified of making a mistake around you. They would be frozen in fear, afraid to move. That would break your heart, right? Because what you desire is love, trust, and a real relationship. Well, the same is true with God. His will is not a hidden puzzle or a tight rope we have to walk perfectly. Romans 8 verse 28 tells us, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. If we are seeking God, he will guide us. And here's the key idea. When we are actively seeking God through prayer, his word, and wise counsel, we don't have to fear making the wrong choice. He will guide and redirect us as needed. If you want to deepen your understanding of God's word, I have a few episodes that can help. In episode 5 I talk about the main thread throughout the Bible with Courtney Bailey and about the overarching story of scripture. Episode 26 also, called Deeper Insight from the Bible it features Gordon Ferguson as we discuss gender roles in biblical interpretation. Also episode 42, How to Interpret the Bible, dives into exegesis and hermeneutics. And episode 45, um, The title is Navigating Cultural Biases with Dr. Jeannie Shaw, who helps us see how cultural influences are reading of scripture. So if you're looking for a place to start, these episodes will guide you. Episode 5, 26, 42, and 45. Welcome to Curious for Christ. Do you ever find yourself lying awake at night, wondering about God's plan for your life? Maybe you wake up with big dreams, but feel unsure where to start or what your next step should be. If you're curious about exploring your faith and finding purpose, then you've come to the right place. Hi, I'm Alexandra. I too felt lost, unsure of the direction my life was taking. I yearned to understand my purpose and have someone guide me. But I kept telling myself I was too busy, the timing wasn't right, and my lack of clarity prevented me from being consistent, until I found Christ. He brought peace into my life and revealed the way to find purpose, by anchoring myself In this podcast, we'll journey together exploring the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of Him and cultivate your own personal relationship with Christ. So open up your Bible, put in those earbuds and listen up because God is speaking to you. He is making everything new and you don't want to miss it. Let's get started. So what's really behind this fear? Often when we ask, how do I know God's will? What we're really saying is Number one, fear of getting it wrong. What if I mess up and God is disappointed? But God's will is not a rigid formula. It's about our relationship with Him. He is a loving Father, not a judge waiting to punish us. First, John 4 verse 18 says there is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear. It could also be number two, fear of consequences. What if I suffer because I choose wrong? And yes, decisions have consequences, but Romans 8 verse 28 promises that God can redeem even our missteps when we are seeking him. Number three, fear of inadequacy. What if I can't carry out? What if I can't carry out what God wants? Well, God equips us as we move forward, not before. 2nd Corinthians 12 verse 9 says, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. We don't have to be enough on our own. God is enough for us. So what is the key to knowing God's will? How do we know God's will? It's not about waiting for a lightning bolt from heaven, but I would say that it's about alignment with him. Proverbs three, verses five through six tells us, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to him and he will make your path straight. If we love what God loves, seek him in everything and surrender to his guidance. We really can't mess it up. I love to look at examples in the Bible that are in a similar situation that I am in now to gain more understanding paul, for instance, in Acts 16, he didn't always know where he was going. He just kept moving in faith. In Acts 16 verses 6 to 10, it tells us that Paul and his companions tried to go to certain places, but the Holy Spirit redirected them. God didn't give Paul the full plan in advance, He just guided him as he moved forward. If Paul had waited for absolute clarity, he would have never gone anywhere. And the same applies to us. If we are aligned with God, we don't need to fear making a wrong move because God will guide us as we go. So the real challenge is really trusting God with the outcome. The hardest part isn't knowing God's will. It's trusting that He will guide us as we move. Let's look at some biblical example of people who had to trust God even when they didn't know the outcome. Joseph, in Genesis 37 through 50. He was sold into slavery, falsely accused, thrown into prison. None of it made sense at the time. But God was working behind the scenes. And in the end, and it was not overnight, it took over a decade, Joseph became second in command in Egypt and saved his family. So trusting God here means believing he is working, even when We don't see it yet. Ruth, another example, there's an entire book after her name. She was a widow in a foreign land. Ruth had no clear direction, but she took the next step of faith, staying with Naomi and gleaning in Boaz's fields. And because of her faithfulness, God led her to a future she had never imagined. And she's actually in the direct lineage of Jesus. Lastly, Jesus in Gethsemane, in Matthew 26, verse 39. Even Jesus, in his humanity, struggled with the weight of God's plan. He prayed, Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Yet, not my will, but yours be done. He prayed all night, mind you. So, obedience often requires trust before we see the outcome. So, this is it for today. I want to leave you. with one thing to reflect on. Romans 12 verse 2 says do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is. His good, pleasing, and perfect will. To truly understand God's will, we need to allow Him to transform our minds. And that transformation happens when we choose trust over fear, faith, As we walk with Him, we seek Him, surrender our worries, trust that He is guiding us, we start to see His will unfold in our lives. And because His will isn't about a rigid road map, it's about knowing Him and allowing Him to lead us toward the good works He has prepared So if you're struggling with a decision, ask yourself, Am I trusting God? Am I seeking Him? Am I open to His guidance? If the answer is yes, yes, and yes, move forward in faith knowing that He is with you. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
