Hi, I am Alexandra, mom of 2 incredible children and married to my best friend and partner in the faith.
For years, I tried to find happiness and a sense of purpose in all the wrong places.
I consumed endless self-help books, I would study more, analyze my past, find temporary relief in world distractions, try avoidance for temporary relief, attempt to change others in the hope of improving my relationships, only to find myself exhausted, living in my past, not enjoying the present and with no hope for a future. I had so many dreams but no direction to where my next step would be.
I finally realized that if I wanted to find lasting peace, I had to build my life on a solid unshakable foundation. I found Christ and the amazing peace that comes from being fully known and loved unconditionally.
With the help of mentors, I understood God’s will for my life and developed an unwavering relationship with Him. And I am thrilled to share it with you and give back as I was poured into.
Are you ready to finally find peace for your soul? Partner with the Everlasting God and discover your life's purpose, His amazing will for you, and how to walk in His steps. Experience fulfilling relationships and a sense of purpose that surpasses anything you can dream or imagine.
Open your Bible, put in those earbuds, and listen up! God is speaking to you. He is making everything new. Do you perceive it? Let's get started.

Good morning friend. And welcome back to our curious for Christ Q and a session. I'm Alexandra. Your host. And today we are diving into a question that said the heart of every believers journey. How do I make God a priority in my life? So at first glance, this question seems straightforward, but when we peel back the layers, it reveals so much about our hearts, our struggles, and our desires. And when we asked this. We really asking. Why do I feel distant from God? Why does my face? Feel like an afterthought instead of the foundation of my life, or it could be, how can I align my business schedule responsibilities and dreams with God's will. Behind this question, how do I make God a priority in my life? Often lies a sense of disconnection, a longing to feel closer to God, to hear his voice, and to know that our lives are aligned with his purpose. If that's where you're at today, know this, you are not alone. God sees your desire to make him your priority. And he is already drawing near to you. So let's unpack this question a little further. Together. Welcome to Curious for Christ. Do you ever find yourself lying awake at night, wondering about God's plan for your life? Maybe you wake up with big dreams, but feel unsure where to start or what your next step should be. If you're curious about exploring your faith and finding purpose, then you've come to the right place. Hi, I'm Alexandra. I too felt lost, unsure of the direction my life was taking. I yearned to understand my purpose and have someone guide me. But I kept telling myself I was too busy, the timing wasn't right, and my lack of clarity prevented me from being consistent, until I found Christ. He brought peace into my life and revealed the way to find purpose, by anchoring myself in Him. In this podcast, we'll journey together exploring the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of Him and cultivate your own personal relationship with Christ. So open up your Bible, put in those earbuds and listen up because God is speaking to you. He is making everything new and you don't want to miss it. Let's get started. When we say, I want to make God a priority. It often implies that something else has taken his place. Maybe it's our work family dreams, or even the distractions of everyday life. We live in a world that constantly pulls our attention in a thousand different directions. And it's easy for God to get pushed to the sidelines. Even without our noticing. So we have to be truly aware. And honest with where we are. But here's the truth. Making God a priority doesn't mean adding him to an already busy schedule, like another task to check off. It means restructuring your life around him. It's about shifting your mindset from fitting God in to building everything else around him. When Jesus said in Matthew six, verse 33 seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you. He was teaching us that putting God first. Aligns everything else in our lives. Also it's not about perfection or achieving some spiritual checklist. It's about living with intention and surrender. So I have five practical ways to make God a priority in your life. Number one start your day with God. God is first set aside the first moments of your day for prayer. Bible reading or worship. Or all three. Even 10 minutes can transform your mindset and set the tone for the rest of the day. And remember, it's not about the length of time, but the consistency and the sincerity of your heart. Also make sure that you're in a quiet place or in a place where you will not be distracted where you give your undivided attention. To your creator. Number two anchor your day with scripture. If you wish to go deeper into the Bible, into what the Bible says, an interpretation, make sure you listen to episode 42 on interpretation 45 and episode 72 to anchor yourself in God's word. So keep God's word at the forefront of your mind by reading a verse or passage through the day. Use apps or sticky notes, or even alarms to remind yourself of his promises and direction. When you meditate on his word. It becomes easier to center your decisions and actions around him. And if you'd like more information or more guidelines regarding meditation, just stop right now and go back to episode 74. Where I have an amazing conversation with Virginia Leffler on what biblical meditation is. And there is a meditation practice within the episode. So make sure that you listen to that episode. Number three. Praying through the day, prayer isn't just mornings or evenings or before a meal. It's a conversation with God that can happen any time. You're building a relationship so you can invite God in and converse with him. Get his insight. At any time of the day. Invite him into your work, your parenting, your decisions, and even your challenges. You don't need fancy words. Just talk to him like you would a close friend. Like I said, it's a relationship. Go deep. Be honest, be vulnerable. He can handle you. Number four. Evaluate your priorities. This is a big one. So take a moment to reflect on how you're spending your time. Are there things consuming your energy that don't align with God's purpose for your life? And I go in depth in my coaching on this because we can easily brush it off or we undervalue what we are. Doing that is actually undoing. God's work. Ask him to show you. What to let go of and what to focus on. This might mean setting boundaries or saying no to something good to say yes to something better. Really take a moment to reflect on how you're spending your time and ask yourself. How do I define fun and entertainment? How do I spend my free time? Are my choices, helping me grow closer to God or pulling me further away. What am I thinking about through the day? Let's go back to fun. For instance. Sometimes our definition of fun and relaxation involves things like endless crawling on social media. Binge-watching shows. Drinking a little too much. Or any activities that might actually drain us? More than refresh us social media in particular can be a huge distraction. It can stop your joy. Create comparison. Anxiety, because you think you're not where you're supposed to be instead of having your eyes set on Christ. Cutting back on these distractions and setting boundaries for yourself, whether it's limiting screen time, choosing uplifting entertainment, or being intentional about how you spend your downtime. Can help you reclaim that time and energy. To focus on God and his purpose. For your life. His good and perfect will for your life. And by making these intentional shifts. You'll begin to see how prioritizing God leads to true joy. Lasting peace. Fulfillment, rather than the fleeting satisfaction that distractions. Often. Provide. And that goes, even with shopping number five, built community. Surround yourself with people who encourage you to keep God first you can join a Bible study or reach out to a mentor who can guide and support you spiritually. I offer coaching because this is truly my passion. I love to help women overcome worry, and self-doubt anxiety about the future or anything uncertain in life. And let's face it. There's nothing truly certain in life besides God. So my goal is to walk alongside you, holding your hand, as you navigate all your fears and emotions and helping you step into God's purpose for your life. Sabbath rest is such an important spiritual practice. If you want to know more, make sure to listen to episode 59. Set aside intentional time to rest and reconnect with God. This could be a full day or even an hour where you're unplugged from the world and focus solely on him. Sabbath is a gift. It's a gift from God. It's not just about stopping work. But about remembering who holds your life together. It's a place where you can. Be refreshed. So as we close, I want to remind you of something powerful. God is already pursuing you. Making him a priority isn't about trying harder or being more perfect. It's about responding to his invitation. In Psalm 46, verse 10, it says be still and know that I am God. Prioritizing God begins in stillness trust. And surrender. It's in those quiet moments that he feels our hearts directs our steps and gives us peace. That surpasses all understanding.
